PRACTICE MANAGERS
Gill Radford is based at Fareham Health Centre, and Amanda Gray is based at Highlands Medical Centre. They are responsible for the day to day running of the practice and they will be happy to discuss any suggestions or problems you may have.
RECEPTIONISTS
Our Receptionists are here to help you. They are fully trained and operate within the guidelines laid down by the Doctors and the Managers and they follow a strict code of confidentiality. The more detail you give them of your requirements, the better they will be able to provide the service you will need.
ADMINISTRATORS / MEDICAL SECRETARY
Our office administration team will arrange home visits, patient referrals and handle any information received into the practice from other professionals. If you need any assistance with any of these areas please do not hesitate to contact them.
PRACTICE NURSES
The practice nurses see patients on an appointment system from Monday to Friday. They work closely with the doctors and are able to advise on various health problems. As well as their general nursing duties such as changing dressings, removing stitches and ear syringing, they also run specialist clinics - e.g. asthma, diabetes and hypertension.
DISTRICT NURSES
The District Nursing Team is attached to the practice. They are responsible for nursing care in the community and can be contacted on (01329) 282911.
HEALTH VISITORS
Our health visitors are qualified registered nurses who specialise in child and family health, child development and child protection issues. They can be contacted at Highlands Medical Centre 01329 845694 or Fareham Health Centre 01329 827423.
COMMUNITY MIDWIVES
The midwife holds antenatal clinics and visits mothers and babies during the first 10 days after delivery. There are two midwives attached to the practice who can be contacted via Blackbrook Maternity Home on (01329) 316400
COUNSELLOR
We have a practice based counsellor and referrals are organised through your GP.
MEDICAL STUDENTS
We also teach medical students. This practice teaches undergraduate medical students throughout the year at Highlands Medical Centre. As part of this programme the students must observe patient/doctor consultations. You will always be notified when making your appointment if a student will be present and you can decline at any time. |
